I'm such a slacker; both at school and at updating this thing. D: Where do I go wrong?

So I've decided to do NaNoWriMo this year. XD

Mein schwester does it every year (miss publishes-her-own-books DX) and I thought, hey, maybe I should try that. It helps that recently Hetalia is my fandom of choice actually. (I'm such a fandom whore, I go in and out of them so fast I feel bad ;_; esp. if I try to be active in one and then three weeks later its like "...ehhhh..." I still love you, all my old fandoms just not as much as hetalia right now *shot*)

Hetalia my true love is all about historyyy~ It's not like that's my major and I've spent four years studying it. /sarcasm But this personification of the nation business is not all it's cracked up to be. T_T

I've decided for nano to write about the Seven Years War (yey for Prussia+England :3) so, being the good history student that I am I start looking for "scholarly journal articles" about said subject. Of course, while I'm surfing JSTOR (which is so much easier to find things on than Historical Abstracts, no matter what ANYONE says hates historical abstract's search engine) I'm coming across all these articles about Prussia titled things like:

"German without Prussia: A Closer Look at the Confederation of the Rhine"
"The Death and Transfiguration of Prussia"
"Post-Mortum on Prussia: The East German Position"

And I read them and I go "BAWWWWWWW PRUSSIA ILU DON'T DIEEEEE"

So in that way, Hetalia sucks. But I have to look through them because I'm a masochist good history student who does her research before writing anything. So I torment myself. D:

ETA: god I hate lj for posting when I'm only half done writing D:
ETA2: also I fail at html (whut, I don't even need to use html in posting D:)

Gahhh..

So I was listening to this BL drama with Canna Nobutoshi x Fukuyama Jun, and I thought to myself, I know that Fukuyama-san plays Yumichika in Bleach (my favourite <3) but does Canna-san have a role in that?  What kind of couple would that be if he did?  So I looked it up, and he does.

Nnoritra.

x Yumichika.

I am thoroughly creeped out by that.  But I'll still listen to the drama. xD

In Nagayan's latest blog entry, I definitely took a double take at what I first thought at a quick glance was a picture of Tuti, and then realised a second later, no, that's definitely Nagayan.

They say that couples that have been together for a long time start to look like each other, don't they?  8DDD

Hello, this is the slacker

Hahahaha, so even though there is only one week (well, 8 days) until Fan Expo/CN Anime have I finished both costumes for my double-cosplay? Of course not!  There's still a week left!  Why would I be anywhere near finished when there's still a week left?  It's not like I had all summer to...

Yea, so I'm a slacker.  They'll get done!

This encourage-yourself post is really having the opposite effect, haha.  But it's not like I haven't done anything; I've made the hats, and I've painted my shoes white (because I had black ones and needed white ones and didn't want to buy new shoes that's a lie, I always want to buy new shoes), and I've bought the wigs and the material and I've made the pattern.  Just have to cut it out and sew it together.  Hiyaaaaa, it's the cutting part that I hate the most, I always figure I'll screw it up, or I didn't buy enough fabric, or something like that will happen.  I mean, though, I bought 6 metres of cloth, so that's 3 metres per dress.  But the skirts are huge and I need 75 inches (that 6 feet+!)  to make the frilly-bits.  And I forgot to add in the measurement for the bows at the back, so I bought a half-metre extra.  I realise that I switch between metric and imperial xD I've got the ribbon and the zippers and the buttons (pearls for the collar, and covered ones for the front) and everything is coming together, so I think we'll be okay.  I hope.

I love cosplaying. :D  Brittany and I're gonna be Princesses this year!  She'll be Yuujirou and I'll be Tohru and it'll be awesome.

wah, it's tiny but that'll be us.  Still have to figure out the medkits though.. hmm..

Indeed, 'twas a knight to remember

This Eve I found myself in our great City of Toronto, eager to attend the tournament and greet the King and toast to the health of the Prince and Princess of the land.  Indeed, our party met at Medieval Times, for the early celebration of the birth of Gregory, the love of my good friend Melanie.  My cousin Correen and I travelled together on the public carriages, as we were unable to secure private passage for the night.  However, all went well, and we were greeted by our companions at the gates of the tournament.

Upon our way, I had managed to secure some treats for our ride, and I had for myself some of the sweet, powdered sugar coated Turkish Delight, certainly a delight for me.  There is some left for the morrow as well, I could not bring myself to eat the lot.

The Black and White Knight, a Templar by the name of Don Iofre Santa Creu, was our Champion that Eve, and though he was bested by that Rogue the Green Knight, he fought well and befittiing of a priest of his stature.  However, that Green Knight, sirrah, he had captured the Prince!  And thus, the victorious Yellow Knight was called to slay him for defeating the new treaty of Peace between the King Phillipe and the land of Leone.  The treaty, and the Prince, were fortunately rescued.

The tournament did not only focus upon the Knights, though they were indeed the most well loved.  The King`s Horses were very well trained, and displayed many excellent maneuvars in Dressage.  As well, there was a beautiful Falcon and her Falconer who graced us with a demonstration before the Feast.  Had we begun to eat already, I am sure she would have ignored the lure and instead gone for one of our chickens instead.

The Feast was glorious!  First, a Tomato soup, made from the new fruit found in the Americas, and a piece of toasted bread with garlic.  For supper we dined upon half a chicken each, and a spare rib and roasted Potato!  A Potato, though not like the Tomato at all in appearance or Taste, are of sister plants, and this was new to us as well.  Journeying from so far as we did to the Spanish Court (my cousin and I hail from our glorious land of England), these new Foods were enticing and delicious, though Lady Correen did not care for the Tomato broth.

A Greek pastry was served after, filled with apples and sweetened.  Indeed, it was delicious to eat while we watched our Templar do battle with the Rogue, and though he seemed at many times to have the upper hand, he was defeated.  Following this, an imported drink from Arabia called 'Coffee' was served, though when I tried it, I found it so bitter that I was pressed to sweeten and lighten it,  which the King had provided for.  The Spanish King certainly knows how to treat his guests as royalty themselves!

In Spain we supped upon the finest foods and were entertained by the King's greatest Stallions, and treated to a magnificent Tournament with not simply Jousting and Swordmanship, but with displays of Lancing by each of the Knights, where our Templar succeeded masterfully.  To be priveliged with a return to the Spanish Court would not be an offer I would turn down.

As the result of ideas that only come to you in the middle of the night, I just finished watching the bankai show 002 at 2x the normal speed.  How do I come up with these things?  Well, I was watching the end of the All to see the drunk!Kira parts (because Eiki!Izuru is adorable)  and because I didn't want to miss anything by skipping ahead on my VLC player, I decided to fast forward instead, not realising that, unlike normal fastforward, VLC speeds up the voices as well as the picture.  So I was treated to Matsumoto squeaking about how her breasts were being scared out of her shirt, and it was the funniest thing of life, I had to watch more.  Thus leading to watching the whole bankai show in one hour instead of the original two.

It was an experience, I can say that much. XDD

Tacchan as Ichigo was adorable, as was Eiki!Izuru, but that was expected.  All the girls' voices were just a squeak too high to be not ear-drum breaking, but it was tolerable.  Inoue!Matsumoto was the best, but she's my favourite and I'm biased about her. 8D And I discovered that Ohkuchi-san's Aizen voice is just as sexy at 2x speed as it is at 1x speed. :9  Tuti and Nagayan were cute, especially when singing on their own (Kimi ga Mienai made me want to hug the screen it was so cute), but the Hona Sainara is harrrrrrddd to do at 2x speed. D8

Everyone was a chipmunk, though maybe Matsumoto was a mouse, but Suzuki-san as Zaraki was just awesome in that I couldn't tell the difference between him and the cats that were having a fight outside my window while I was watching it.  That made my life right there.  Of course Zaraki will stand out as the oddball.

Most of the songs sounded like sped up versions of the originals (which.. they were) but the Bengara Koushi and No Clouds in the Blue Heavens both sounded like they could be played at that speed normally and it would sound good too.  The Bengara Koushi (why does it have a 'the' on the front? It sounds better to me that way? I dunno xD) went from a slow tango to a merengue (I have no idea if I spelled that right, I keep thinking of pies) and was still awesome.  Tacchan's 'Where is my Body?' (which always makes me lol and have trouble singing along) sounded like it could be on DDR and he was playing the expert level. XD

I'm gonna look at this post tomorrow and be like..... wtfffffff... but it was funnnnnn, ahahahaha.

So I finally got sick of waiting for subs to come out and downloaded the Shibatora special.  I'm such a slacker, I'll never get this essay done D:

Haha, so, while I was watching it and not drooling over Tuti and/or Nagayan, and/or squeeing over Koike Teppei and/or Tatsuya (the scenes with the two of them together was bordering on too much cute for me to handle), I noticed something that kind of disturbed me a bit.

If Tuti were to, for any reason at all, put on a lot of weight, wouldn't he look almost like Hakuto? I forget the actor's name T_T  I think he would.. does that make me weirder?

Why do I notice these things? XDD

So.  I just woke up from dreaming about Tuti and Nagayan for the better part of the night.  Of course, I only remember two parts of it. T_T  The first was that they had matching toothbrushes, in the way that Nagayan's was pink and Tuti's was yellow, and I just about died of cute in my dream.  But the second part... :9  I definitely dreamed about them kissing.

On video.

So I was watching a video of them, it was like a backstage-type thing, I don't remember what it was for does it matter? and they were.. doing something, I don't even remember what, but they were sitting next to each other and then Nagayan turned to Tuti, and the camera turned so that I was looking face on at Nagayan and at the back of Tuti's head (sort of) and Nagayan murmured "thank you" and then leaned over and kissed him! :0.. :DDDD

And it wasn't just one kiss.. noooo, it was three little ones right after each other, and then one longer one at the end. :9

In my dream I paused the video of them kissing and had to have a moment and go.. 'well, that's one way to out themselves.. did they really actually kiss?!' and then I went back and watched it again. heeehehee, I do so like dreams like this.

Maybe tomorrow night they'll get to second base in my head. :DD

Wedding Blues~

Not to say that the wedding was bad or anything.  It was.. normal, for a wedding.  The bride was my dad's girlfriend's niece, so even though I'd met her once before (at ther engagement party), I didn't really know her all that well.  Still, it felt nice to be invited, since my sister and I were really not related to the family in any significant way.

It was held at La Salle Park in Aldershot, a place where my mum, sister and I used to go a lot for church picnics, back when I still went to church.  The ceremony was outside under the pavillion and the reception upstairs in the same pavillion, so at least it wasn't far.  It was pretty typical, really.  A few exciting things of mention: I wore contacts today, so after dinner they started to bug me so I went to take them out and wear my glasses.  Of course, doesn't my right contact get lost in my eye?  So, after poking my eye out for a while I started to feel faint and had to go and sit in front of one of the toilet stalls in case I vomited.  Thankfully I had brought a small hand mirror with me, so I managed, after about 20 minutes and several people asking me if I was all right (at least my sister was there watching out) I got it out. :D  And then thr left one came out on the second try.  Of course.  Really, that was the highlight of my evening.  That, and my sister told me that the bartender (who was also the server at  our table) was eyeing me up. xDDD That never happens to me.

The food wasn't bad, but I can't say that it was good either.  Scratchatella (I don't even know if I'm spelling that right) this weird gross Italian cheese soup was the first course, which I didn't eat.  Salad with vinagrette dressing on top already was next (I hate it when they do that, I never like the dressing) of which I ate half and it promptly travelled straight through my body and exited just as quickly less than 20 minutes later.  Then a pasta dish, which was good, but a bit on the spicy side.  Though with my pre-curry British tongue, what isn't spicy? T_T  Then came the main course, roast chicken with roast seasoned potatoes and par-boiled also gross vegetables.  And! With this came a platter of roast beef in gravy for the table if anyone wanted beef with their chicken.  Needless to say, I think I ate half that plate by myself, haha.  The beef was gooood.  It definitely was worth eating less than half of every dish beforehand to eat more of that. :9  Dessert was a sundae, and thank God my sister doesn't like whipped cream dunno what's wrong with her so I got hers. Yay!  It could only have been better if there was cheesecake.  Dinner was a case of each course being better than the last thankfully.

Then there was dancing, and then my feet fell off, and my dress almost followed them I can finally say that things are too big! Haha, no more too small for me!, and then my sister told me that she thought our waiter, who was then serving drinks, was checking me out.  hehehe, that's never happened to me before. *u*

Other than that, it was.. normal.  Very normal.  Mine won't be normal... whenever that is.  no sluts in less than knee length skirts allowed.

July 1st is almost over, but I just got back from watching fireworks to celebrate how my country is 142 years old today.  XDDD It's so young, honestly.

The fireworks in Hamilton (and Dundas by extention) were down by pier 4, set off on a barge in the bay.  My stepdad has a boat there, and we (mum, stepdad, 3 (2 step) sisters) all watched it from on said boat, which was really fun.  It's not big, but it's big enough for four girls to sit on the bow.  This time, though, my two middle sisters weren't here, so the four of us just watched the fireworks from my backyard. :DD  We didn't have to go anywhere or fight any traffic, it was awesome.   So we didn't get to see the lower ones, and some only came half-over the trees, that's okay.

After that we set off some of our own, and my mum and I nearly had a heart attack. xD  Since we live in an older area (even though it's new for Dundas), we have power lines that are above ground + lots of tall trees.  So the smaller fireworks were okay, but then there was this one gigantic one that we didn't know was going to be gigantic and honest to god nearly set the trees on fire.  I'm positive that if it hadn't rained earlier today that they would have been gone, and then the power lines would have gone and we'd be in a LOT of trouble, not to mention possibly burning down our neighbourhood.  Haha, but we're safe, so everything's okay!  Except for the fact that I have an article review due for summer class tomorrow and I'm not done it yet.  It's only 20% of my mark. *gets on it*

Unexpected Rescue Operation a Success

I saved a toad today.  This made me very happy, haha.

So, my mum was watering the flowers outside at about 7:30 this evening, and we have lots of animals where I live.  Including toads, who like to live in our gardens.  They freak my mum out, cause she thinks they're clumps of dirt and then they jump away. Haha, it's really funny.  But, unfortunately, this time the toad (named Todd) fell into the window well of one of the basement windows, where it is too high for him to jump out.  Now, my mum was all "there's a toad in the window well!" and I was like "oh no!" and we were trying to figure out how to get him out.  I didn't want him to die in there, but I'm pretty sure my mum just didn't want to have a dead toad in the window well. xD  There's been a dead mouse in one of the other ones last year. Yuck.. I didn't see it though, so it could have been worse.

Anyways, we were trying to find a piece of wood long enough to form a ramp so he could jump out, and we found one, but by that point it was just easier to grab him, so that was what I did. xD Haha, my mum was grossed out, but I thought he was cute.  So I put him back in the garden so he can frighten my mother some more later.

In other news, am in the homestretch for TxN Anniversary entries.. I'm such a slacker.  They're almost done though.  Gotta get back to it.

Also, the weather finally took the turn for the worse.  I was hoping it would hold off a bit longer, but summer is here, and it's hooo~t. T^T

Haaah~  The job I applied for at the museum where I volunteer went to someone else.  I was so confident too! D:  I'll still be volunteering there so it's not like I'll never be going again, but it would have been nice to get paid. xD  It's so hard to get a job this year..  at least I still live at home so I'm not going to starve or anything XD, but still, how'm I gonna pay off my student loans at this rate?  And I wanna go to grad school, and I'm applying for the JET programme this September, so hopefully something will come up and I don't have to worry about gigantic amounts of money and debts and stuff.

In other news, work on the TxN Anniversary projects (yes, plural xD) is continuing, but not finished because I'm a big procrastinator.  They'll be in before the deadline, I swear!!  They're all like, half done, but none are complete yet. >_<  And they're really dorky too, but I guess it's okay because the boys are dorks and I'm a dork too. XD haha.

Trying to hook up with Brittany to go to the zoo for my birthday again this year. (The fact that my birthday was in April is proof of how hard it is to get together. Dx)  So far, no luck.  And Jolene is leaving for New Brunswick at the end of.. this week? U_U I can't remember, such a good friend I am.  Then I get to start evening classes.. yay for Canadian history, which I need so I can get into my seminar, which I need to graduate next year.  :o And I have to register for my courses for next year on Tuesday!  Thankfully all the ones I want/need fit in, unless Japanese turns out to be two hour lectures instead of one (it's supposed to be four hours a week, but only two hours are listed on the schedule..?) cause it'll interfere with Syntax in first semester or German in second. @_@  I hope it'll work out.

This has been a very disjointed post, I've noticed.  So, to make it worse, here's a silly rhyme that my mother told me when I was little:

Fatty and Skinny went to bed;
Fatty rolled over and Skinny was dead.

XDDDDDDDDDD~ That kills me every time I hear it.

Museum Faire = Awesome~~

So today was my first experience volunteering at the Dundas Historical Society Museum and Archives "Made in Dundas" Victorian Faire!  (That's a mouthful, haha.)  We volunteers started arriving at 9am, like me, to set up for the big event which started at 11, and then ran until 3pm.  We spread out on the museum grounds (which are fairly spacious - since Dundas is a small town, the grounds are bigger than the museum building, not like somewhere in Toronto at the ROM or something like that where the building is bigger) and offered all sorts of games and events and displays, and the museum itself was open with a new exhibit in the back gallery.  Since this is my first year at the Faire, I assume that it takes place around Victoria Day, celebrating, of course, Queen Victoria.  (Victoria Day is the Monday before May 24th this year it was the 18th.  I'm not sure if it's just a Canadian thing, but I think it's celebrated all over the British Commonwealth.  Victoria was Queen when Canada became a separate country from Britain in 1867, so we celebrate her.)  So we had all sorts of fun stuff going on for the kiddies and the parents and grandparent, and the best part of being in a small town is that it was all free~!  Unless, of course, you wanted to make a donation to the museum, which was perfectly fine too.

Cut for awesomeness and pictures. )

woooooo, c'mon tomorrow!

So, tomorrow is going to be fun, I can feel it. :D  Today was boring and rainy so tomorrow better make up for it.  Unfortunately, all the stuff that is happenening tomorrow is in the evening, so I still have another day, really, to fill up before then.

Finally, after three years, I am getting my hair cut! Yayyy!  Right now, it is ridiculous, as you can see: )

That's about 2 feet of hair from the top of my head, and I will be chopping off about 15 inches!  I'm excited.  I've never had my hair as short as I'm going to cut it tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to it.  When I was little my hair was always waist-length as it is now.  And I've only told Jolene and my mum, so everyone else is gonna be surpriseddddd. :DDD

and then later, it is Mel's birthday party!  Where there will be lots of people whom I haven't seen in a while, and will be able to surprise with my snazzy new haircut.  It's gonna be gooooood.  The only thing that could make it better is if I get a call back from any of the places I've applied to.  Looking for work sucks. D:

From my own birthday my mum gave me a pretty: she took her engagement ring to the jewellers and had them reset the diamond into a necklace for me. <33333  this is it:

Oohh, I love it. hehe.  Since my parents are divorced, I get to have pretty things like this that are also sentimental. :D

In other news, I've done a practice cross stitch for the TxN contest this spring :D  just practicing the kanji of their names, 土屋 and 永山.  I think they turned out well!

The yellow was a solid colour but the pink I used varied from light to dark across the thread, so that's why part of the 永 is lighter than the rest of it.  Oh well, will know for next time.  There'll be more of these later.

Success!

So today I sat my German exam.  It was fairly uneventful: normal grammar exercises, vocabulary, writing, wanting to shoot myself.  I'm still having trouble with prepositions because certain verbs only take one (for example, 'sich telefonieren' [to talk on the telephone] only takes 'mit' [with] and comes in Dativ case only, and sich erinnern [to remember] only takes 'an' [at --> this doesn't make sense to me either, but it's the way it is D8]) and I can never remember which one goes with which (the previous two are exceptions that I did not have to get out my dictionary to look at XD)

The writing section was fun at least.  Somewhat.  It took me a little while to think of the topic, but for the first writing piece I had to describe an event and my feelings toward it in seven sentences in whichever past tense we would prefer (simple or conversational).  Of course, while I really like using the simple past, I couldn't remember the präteritum forms of the verbs I wanted to use =_=

So I used conversational past and described the visit I had to the Toronto Zoo last year for my birthday (I can go to the zoo for my 20th birthday, shut up)  which was fun (both the zoo and writing about it), I even managed to include a Relativsatz and n-deklination :D  Only language geeks like myself would prolly understand that last sentence and be excited by it XD

In any case, while completing this exam was lovely, what is more exciting is that I finished my first fanwork that isn't a badly written fanfic the other day.  I would have posted it earlier, but I was studying...

Here it is, my *pnish* pillow!

I think it turned out really cute ^_^

It's comfortable too; I slept on it last night XD

It started out as an embroidery practice for me, as is evident in the first picture, the second * is smaller than the first, and the s looks weird XD I need to keep practicing.  For fabrics I just used what I had left over in my cedar closet; luckily I had some of each colour, although it explains why the green is shiny and the other colours are not, and why the yellow isn't as bright as it should be for Tuti XD  the blue and the yellow are broadcloth, the red is a more substantial cotton and the green is the lining that I used in my sister's prom dress (which was a ridiculous bright green by the way; like, vibrant) so it's silky to touch ^_^

It was a lot of fun to make, although it took a lot of batting to make it that poofy.  The pillows I'll be making in the future (some TxN ones, I think :D) will probably be smaller.

That's all!

haaah..

Tired today.  The roman blind didn't work out after all; have to find a different type of rod that will hold it up, it's too heavy.  So, it's still blinding in the morning.

Got up at quarter past eight, early for an exam break day.  Then started my major trek that took the ENTIRE day to complete.  It went like this:
1. catch the 9:40 beeline leaving university plaza to downtown hamilton.
2. transfer to the cannon st bus until parkside.
3. transfer to the parkdale bus to downtown burlington (where I needed to be)
4. arrive half hour early for doctors appt
5. wait half hour for ten minute appt
6. walk 15 minutes to train station to catch the 15 burlington bus to walkers and upper middle
7. find out that the bank there is not my home branch, but get bank transfer anyways
8. repeat 6 but backwards, walking back to downtown burlington
9. get back on parkdale bus to barton
10. transfer to barton bus, go to ottawa st :D
11. shopping on ottawa st! go to antique store and find collectable spoons and fabricland to buy fabulous pinkandyellow fabric for TxN fanwork challenge
12. walk down ottawa st to main, catch beeline
13. beeline only goes to mcmaster, so walk through campus, catch shuttle bus, walk normal school day route home

I left the house at 9:15.  I got back at 4:30.  This is what happens when you have to go and do stuff in the next city and do not have a car to do it.  At least with my student card, all hamilton busses are freeee. :D

awesome things that happened when I was walking from the train station to downtown burlington:
so, busses always have stuff on them advertising, right? this one that passed me going the other way was advertising for a pooper-scooper service (do they follow you and your dog around? I don't get these) with the tagline: "we're #1 in #2" with the following in brackets and capitals: (YES, THAT MEANS WE PICK UP DOG POO.)  I nearly died right there on the street.  it was just funny that it was a bus advertising it XDD

not so awesome things: a bus driver yelled at me ;_; but, I had my headphones in at the time so I really don't know what he said XD  at least I had a really nice bus driver earlier that day, so it kind of balanced out, haha

Have started working on some new pillows, my bed is kind of empty D: Will put some pictures up when I'm done.  the first is *pnish* themed, I think it;s gonna be cute.  I just used leftover fabric, and I ended up having a lot of all four colours, though not nearly as much red as the others (and I have a boat load of green.. sorry leader-san XD)  and lots of yellow too, which is good because I'm gonna be making some tutixnagyan flavoured pillows and maybe other stuff if I can think of it.  At fabricland I found some pretty, but very fabulous yellow flowered fabric to make some fabulous hawaiian shirts.  it's not summer yet though, and all the spring fabrics have just come out, so there weren't as many hawaiian-shirt-y patterns to choose from.  I got some bright pink too, and THE CUTEST and also really expensive little cotton blend with little pink and yellow flowers on it.  I could not resist after I saw it. It was like a TxN fluff fic in front of my eyes.  XD  There'll be lots of stuff in my room and/or on my person made out of that cute little fabric.  As much as possible, anyways, I only got a half-metre. (whats that, 1 1/2 yards? something like that).

This Easter I got a little bunny stuffy that wears a pink collared yellow jacket.  He's just become another addition to my multitudes of stuffed rabbits (I have at least 6), but he wears pinkandyellow, so therefore he gets a special place on my nightstand as my TxN bunny. XD  I really hope that not too many stupid parents bought their kids live bunnies for Easter (dead ones are okay though.. XDDDD  that's a lie, only if they're for dinner is it okay) since with Flopsy downstairs I know that they're fairly hard to take care of, with cleaning their cages (which have to be pretty large) and making sure they have right diet and enough exercise (mine doesn't, but he eats the paint on the walls and tears the wallpaper, so he has to be supervised at all times @_@)  and that;s too much for a kid sometimes.  And they can bite you if you don't feed them on time. (If you don't feed them on time, don't give them a banana the first thing, since it's so mushy, it's hard to swallow when gobbled and they get gobbled, and they could choke easily. not learned from experience)

Tomorrow I have to start studying for my german exam on friday, and thursday I go to pick up my papers from my history professors, and then spend the rest of the day polishing my potato paper with the draft I get back from Dr Kennedy, who I hope is feeling better from his pneumonia.  Then I get to work on it over my birthday! and email the final copy on monday evening. then wednesday is my open-book super-easy indo-european exam, and my 3rd year is done.  Also have to apply to all the on-campus job postings tomorrow, and finish my banking stuff because I forgot to get to it today.  Now that I feel like I've finally stopped moving, I'm so tired I'm gonna fall asleep, and it's not even 11pm yet. But I've got more stuff to do tomorrow, so I guess that's okay.

went to the dentist today.  My teeth hurt now. Hopefully they won't hurt too much at dinner time, we're having lamb because it's Easter. :D exciting.

finished the roman blind for the kitchen, and lost the tension rod to put it up. DX  the house is upside down because our living room is being painted, so hopefully we can find it soon.  Since I've been bugged about putting this curtain up because it is so bright in the morning.

it's been found now. -_-

Today I really just want to go back to bed.

The snow's gone, and I was able to walk home without my coat on this afternoon at just after noon.  So, it's not too bad. XD

Finished my first exam, school finished Tuesday last.  Sat my Modern British History exam, 9am this morning, first exam of the semester overall.  Three hours of writing.  I swear I have never spent so long in an exam as I did this morning.  I left two minutes before the end of the period, AND filled an exam booklet and a half.  Damn history being so long!  All the fingers on my right hand cracked really loudly too after writing for that long.  D:  Hopefully I did well.  German exam on the 17th (just before my birthday) and then Indo-European on the 22 which will probably take all of 10 minutes to finish. Haha, that class is so easy, I have a 95.25% going into the exam. :D  Everybody else hates historical linguistics, which I guess makes me a GIGANTIC nerd, because I asked my prof for extra readings on the Norse and Old English stuff because I like that stuff.  Hey, it's fun!

While I was walking home trying to keep my hand from falling off after that exam, I was passing by the hydro lane (yea, cutting through the middle of my neighbourhood are power lines in a big long swathe with lots of grass beneath them, you know, because you can't live under power lines) and there are lots of animals where I live.  Lots.  We're really close to a wildlife protected area or some such (Cootes Paradise in Hamilton/Dundas) so there's all kinds of things that I had never seen before up close when I lived in Burlington.  I swear I've seen more deer than squirrels, and there's raccoons, and cats, and coyotes (YES COYOTES; THEY ARE SCARY.  I HAVE DREAMS THAT THEY COME INTO MY HOUSE AND EAT MY BUNNY SOMETIMES.),  and some rabbits, and the squirrels, who are hilarious, and all sorts of birds.  We had an oreole nest in one of our trees last summer, I don't know if they've come back or not yet.  Lots of cardinals too, which are one of my favourites. So pretty <3

But, anyways, when I was walking home, I saw over the hydro lane SIX hawks all flying together.  It was a bit creepy, I've never seen so many all together at the same time.  Something big must've died. XDD  haha, they're not vultures.  (thankfully, the only turkey vulture I have seen I was in a car when I saw it.  It was ugly, man. And huge. D: )  But six hawks surprised me.  But then when I got in and checked my feeds and stuff, I noticed that Nagayan posted a picture of a bird against a blue sky, and it looked eerily like the one's I had just seen moments earlier.  Which I thought was fun. ^_^

Tomorrow is Jolene's birthday party, as well as being Good Friday (which is Karfreitag auf Deutsch ^_^), because her birthday is on Easter Sunday.  The following sunday is orthodox Easter, and that;s my birthday :D haha.  So, we are partying with movies and cakes and icecream and chocolate, and we are going to wear bunny ears and lounge around her house because nothing is open and hopefully watch some anime.  But haha, not everyone likes anime.  At least, the Sailor Moon Live Action series, which I will be bringing, I know will be fun for everyone. haha XD  I have converts soon enough!

I am going to enjoy this Easter I think.  Ja ne~
